RM1005 Euro 6

Interesting that RM1005 has been fitted with a 4 cylinder Cummins Euro 6 engine, apparently Cummins were involved with the conversion which involved altering the sump as the engine was too high for the bonnet line, could this be the pilot for the Tfl RM's to be ULEZ compliant ?

My bus number (if any): RML2747

Re: RM1005 Euro 6

My understanding is that the TfL RMs on Heritage route 15 are exempt from ULEZ, as they are for PSVAR, but I would guess that TfL would be interested in improving the emission credentials of this small fleet.

For those interested in the conversion, I am trying to get details for the next Routemaster Magazine.

My bus number (if any): RM1368

The cost of any conversion has already been recovered.
