CAV AC7 alternators

Hello
I'm reconditioning a CAV AC7 nine-diode alternator at the moment and need a heatsink - I have one with a broken mounting lug. If anyone has a spare one knocking around, with or without diodes I would be interested in buying it. Happy to buy a complete dead alternator with broken bearing, open circuit field windings, what have you, always looking for spares for these alternators as I have several vehicles with them fitted.

Aternatorternatively, if anyone knows of a trade supplier of AC7 spares then I would be very grateful to be pointed at them. I have tried all the usual suspects, JCR, Rotating Electrics etc.

Many thanks

Nigel F.

Re: CAV AC7 alternators

I may have one or more on the shelf in suspect condition. I won't have time to look until Monday. Have you tried PSV Electrical at Hoddesdon?

My bus number (if any): RML2532

Re: CAV AC7 alternators

Roy, thanks, that would be good. I'm happy to collect and strip the unit and return any parts I don't need too, if that's any help. I'm not too far from Hoddesdon so that's very helpful too, thank you, I'll give them a call tomorrow.
