Re: Rear Doors

The rear doors you see on Routemasters are the coach versions (RMC and RCL) they had platform doors. A number of these had the rear frames with Emergency door and the sliding doors removed when scrapped and refitted to standard open platform RMs for Tour purposes. You will not be able to get one of those, so you will have to get something made either to fit inside the platform, blocking access to the interior and upper saloon as many preserved buses have, or get the rear corner panelled over and bespoke doors fitted You could of course sell the Routemaster and get something more suited to a Food truck like a Metrobus or similar that has doors!

My bus number (if any): RTL 960, RMC 1458, RM 1585 and several RTs

Re: Rear Doors

I know your in Canada, but have a word with The Bus Business as they have fitted nice looking doors to converted Routemasters various times.

If your budget can copy they could possibly make and ship doors to you or at least tell you what is best to do.

Re: Rear Doors
