Re: Replacement RM radiator and fan needed (AEC engine)

Any competent radiator repair specialist should be able to recore an RM radiator IF the framework is undamaged. If the tanks are damaged only the better ones can help. I use an independent local man. As for the Fan the last one I required came from John Radley.

However the company below specialises in fans particularly, and are oK with one off specials. They made me a special for a Reliance from scratch and pattern, even suggesting and using blades with a slightly more aggressive pitch to increase airflow through the radiator, with the aim of alleviating the type's propensity for overheating.

If you are talking about an Iveco powered bus then the fans are still available.

Re: Replacement RM radiator and fan needed (AEC engine)

Thanks Roy I'll get onto John, not sure how bad the damage is, only that the fan went into the rad.

My bus number (if any): RTL 960, RMC 1458, RM 1585 and several RTs

Re: Replacement RM radiator and fan needed (AEC engine)

I get radiators rebuilt locally, cost about £650-£750 depending on the damage. I used to keep an overhauled one in stock, but one went to Austria to replace an accident damage victim, the other has (or will be) going to Ireland to fit an RMA whose radiator is missing. Send me an email if you're stuck. As long as the tanks are ok it can be rebuilt.

My bus number (if any): RML2532
