Probably the daftest request for spares

Probably the silliest request for spares was from the far east, maybe Singapore a couple of years ago. The order was for something like 12 wheel cylinders, 6 steering side arms, 6 steering idler shafts...enough steering parts to be kept in stock for 3 RMs!! And they wanted the "best price" to boot.

Obviously these parts will wear out at sometime but they were told politely that when they wore out, send them back and they could be exchanged for rebuilt items. I doubt anyone would have that quantity of steering spares or wheel cylinders in stock these days.

My bus number (if any): RML2532
