Power Steering Hose Blow Out

On the way back from my recent engine change I was almost home when I suddenly lost the power steering on a roundabout. The high pressure hose from the power steering pump had burst spraying hydraulic fluid everywhere. For further details of the problem and repair see the ROOF website. Re: Power Steering Hose Blow Out

Hi Chris - sounds very dramatic! Did you fit the new hose yourself? -it looks as if it is just a matter of using a spanner. Is there any prospect of getting an air lock with re-filling?

My bus number (if any): RML2302

Re: Power Steering Hose Blow Out

A bit tricky to fit as access is difficult to the bottom of the power steering pump. I just topped up with hydraulic fluid and it all worked fine straight away. Thank goodness!
