York Bus Raly 30th September 2007

Arrangements for the themed London Transport 1950s & 1960s rally / running event on Sunday 30th September are almost complete although vehicle entries are still invited from ANY bus owner. Please e mail me at mmann@ntlworld.com for an entry form. I shall endeavour to insert entries into the programme as late as posible.

So far twenty vehicles are already booked in to attend with, as expected, most being the Routemaster variant as well as trade and enthusiast stands.

It will be held at the prestigious Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington.
Vintage vehicles will operate a regular service to and from York mainline railway station, also linking with the Yorkshire Historic Vehicle rally at York Racecourse commencing at 9-47am for those who travel by train

A good selection of vehicles are operating "in service", including RTL554, RM1058, RM1691 and RML2515 with further to come.

The event is staged on hardstanding with plenty of hangars to hide in if the weather turns gloomy.

Regards

Mike Mann (07828 804328)

My bus number (if any): RM2186

Re: York Bus Rally 30th September 2007

Readers of this forum will hopefully forgive me bringing this back to the top as this rally is only five days away.
I know in excess of thirty vehicles are now entered with more expected on the day.
Running vehicles will call at York mainline station for those travelling to the event by train.
This is our first attempt at running a rally in the North proper (as Mike would put it) so we look foward to welcoming as many as possible at the Yorkshire Air Museum this coming Sunday.
Further entries can still be excepted please contact Mike Mann on 07828 804328.
Regards & Thanks Steve Bunda
