RM service in Nottingham to be discontinued in August

The BBC is reporting that the Heritage service in Nottingham is being discontinued:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/nottinghamshire/7481816.stm

According to the report John Murray from Bellamy Coaches said he was disappointed the buses had proved unpopular.
"It was a hard decision to make, we'd hoped they would have taken off but it seems the people decided that they just didn't want to get on them."

Perhaps RMs are better associated with and liked in London perhaps?

My bus number (if any): RTL 960 RML 2667, an RMC and now RM 1585 as well

Re: RM service in Nottingham to be discontinued in August

Hi...A brave try by the company. Staff at the depot polite and enthusiastic....Rode the bus both ways It ran late and was driven hard and fast with harsh braking. Coupled with the poor quality Mansfield Road in Nottingham, (90% of the journey) and rattling hopper windows was uncomfortable to say the least. Competition from the opposition was as usual brand new buses every few minutes with discount season tickets. As usual...no contest. There would appear to be some wedding day and special events trade available if one or two of the vehicles are to be retained. Kindest regards Ian.

My bus number (if any): Rm446,Rm765.
