Useful Facility for Northern Owners

I've recently been told about Service Direct, the trading name of Durham County Council. They have excellent modern workshop facilities at Meadowfield, just south of Durham where they can do work for the general public. Perhaps more importantly, they also have a number of ex-Northern General Routemaster-experienced staff, a very rare find in our neck of the woods. They tell me they carry out a lot of work on preserved buses generally and they have certainly been very friendly and helpful in my case, carrying out repairs on The Rocket and getting her retested successfully very quickly. My contact is Mike Gladwin (Production Engineer - Fleet Management Services)on 0191 372 5164

My bus number (if any): RML2302
