RM1000

I'm running RM2213 on a free bus service between Sacrewell Farm, Nene Valley Railway and Peterborough bus station this weekend. It rained all day today and I was surprised to see AEC engined RM1000 turning off the A1 heading towards Nene Valley Railway as I was leaving the station.

It turned out they had been alarmed by the sound of their alternator drive belts flying off in pieces on their journey from Merton to tomorrow's Huddersfield Bus Rally.

I'm pleased to say that the fitter at Nene Valley Railway had suitable belts in stock and had the bus fixed within an hour while the crew had a late breakfast in the station cafe.

A nice story for a rainy day.

My bus number (if any): RM471 & RM 2213
