Cleaning the grey laminate around the windows

I want to clean up the grey laminate around the windows. It is dirty and there is some paint on it. I've tried paint stripper on a small hidden piece but this damages the surface. I wonder if anyone had a suggestion or found something that cleans and polishes the suface well.

Many thanks.

My bus number (if any): RM471 & RM 2213

Re: Cleaning the grey laminate around the windows

I seem to recall a rather thorough piece on 'the other channel' some months back.

I had great results using the dishwasher and a ceramic hob scraper.
As soon as the program finished, I removed the ones with paint and used the scraper very carefully. The soft paint just shaved off with ease.
I used Brasso to bring back the hugh shine and a very soft polishing cloth.
Time consuming but superior results.
Also the suggestion was to flip the sides over. That works well too.
