I was told I need to drop the keel on my 1971 26 foot columbia mark 2 after discovering waterlogged wood that makes up the keelstub. Adviser believing water got into keelstub through compromised seal at keel-hull joint. I have a plan to build a cradle around the trailer after blocking up keel before removal, then jack up the boat with heavy straps and fence pullers to lift boat off the keel. Next pull trailer holding keel forward and lower boat back down on stands to get at keelstub. What do u guys think 🤔
