I am happy to report that my Columbia 26 MKII :TeMae Marine, servived Hurricane Katrina. We are located about 30 east of where the western edge of the eye passed. We had 100 plus mph winds for 5 hours. I was extreamly lucky with bothe boat and the house. 12' tidal surge in the marina but my lines held and had only a little water in the bilge. Many thousands of boats in SOuth East Louisiana did suffer much damage if not out right distruction. Say a little prayer for the folks down here. I've had 15 of them through my house since the storm. I look forward to sailing again soon.
