Thanks, Concerned Mother, for the momentary nostalgia trip to a time long ago! Back when the SI Swimsuit Issue was as close to skin as a 12 year old boy could get, its secondary gift was always the letters from concerned readers. Especially Sr. Mary Attila from suburban nowhere seemingly annually cancelling her school's subscription. Or the other "concerned mothers" lamenting America's moral decay and abandonment to the flesh. Reading those letters, my lurid participation in such rascality provided ALMOST as much titillation as the pictures themselves.
