I think it's a coincidence and not him running from the recent issues. He would have applied for the Lynnfield position at least a month or two before Brazil St. He also lives there so it's a natural progression (and probably more money).
You're probably right. It's not about him running from recent issues. It's about him running from the change of administrations coming in November, right back to Dolan who covered for him for 16 years. The handwriting was already on the wall.
We're seeing the same thing on the Board of Aldermen. Forbes, Wright, Mortimer and now Lemmerman are not running, and maybe one more depending on the primary result. Hopefully there will be a wholesale housecleaning and Dello Russo, Van Campen, and the entire School Committee will be next. So far, only Driscoll is a goner - although she'll slide right into the School's Financial position, which is a scary thought. Hopefully she sees more dollar signs than angels.
