Re: Kate Lipper Garabedian Runs for Every Opening--Seems to Dislike Being a City Council Person
Brodeur's seat being open was foreseeable so I don't understand people acting like this is a surprise decision on Lipper G's part. She knew the opportunity would most likely be available.
She wanted to hedge her bets. City councilor just in case Monica won or if she loses the state rep bid, she still has a political job. It looks better coming from a place of success and not being a failed candidate in a previous election too.
Trying to gloss this over is disingenuous. It doesn't make her a bad politician, it makes her a politician.
Certain personality traits come with the territory. At least she isn't the nightmare that is Sam Hammar. That one does nothing unless it will glorify herself. Hammar is not thoughtful nor capable of intellectual analysis. She is simply a grabby and self aggrandizing user. Lipper G is not and makes a much better choice to represent the people.

Icky but understable

All the negativity in this town sucks. Monica Medeiros ain’t walkin’ through that door pal...and if she did she’d still be unelectable and unable to read a spreadsheet.
Why Rick
Does Paul know how to read a spreadsheet or do you?
You shouldn’t judge people’s abilities she would have cleaned house.

What negativity? It's part of a democratic process to discuss political matters. It's not negative to question things. It's prudent.
