I just read an article on the Patch about a building proposal for a house on a piece of rock on Montvale St. If the Planning Board lets this one through they should all be asked to resign
I'm not taking a stand on this proposal one way or another (yet), but it's very unfair (and of course premature) to be suggesting that a project (on private property!) be denied without even having seen a full set of engineering drawings. If I am mistaken and you have indeed seen fully designed/engineered plans, then I of course apologize, and won't consider your post simply a 'NIMBY' knee jerk reaction!
They are on the city planning board website
Having looked through the site plans, drainage calculations, erosion control and stormwater management plan, and responses to City Department comments, I see nothing that is not designed, and in accordance with, standard and accepted best engineering practices.
In my opinion, the City would be hard pressed to deny the project "just because".
That's a lot of assuming, with NOTHING whatsoever to back it up!
An issue that is of this miniscule importance in my life is hardly worth my "bluffing" on an anonymous local message board. Please!
I have already wasted enough of my time even thinking about this, and have determined that I honestly do NOT care whatsoever what happens or does not happen regarding this piece of property. That being decided/said, I truly hope that you get whatever outcome you are lookimg for. Good luck!
