According to the Globe and Patch, superintendent and Deselm have signed onto a Supreme Court brief along with officials from a number of other school systems in support of transgender rights of a Virginia teen. Fine and dandy, as it should be. However, this is the same superintendent, and a school committee member of a board that were found guilty of having fostered a "racially hostile environment" after an extensive 2-year United States Office of Civil Rights investigation. This school board member never voted to force any accountability by this superintendent when she took egregiously inappropriate actions to protect the teacher, further victimize the student who was told to "go back to the plantation," and then worked to hide the entire matter and the ensuing legal charges with the incompetent legal team that had been tasked by the superintendent and school board to manage these matters. None of the guilty parties have faced one iota of actual consequences. Now they are trying to paint themselves as social justice warriors, when in fact they are the worst of hypocrites. This is shameful. So how come people in the Boston region seem to understand these issues very clearly but Melrosians continue to look the other way and by default sanction a very wrong and backwards school administration?

Always need to bring Trump into the conversation where it is irrelevant - pull your self together - and move on with life and acceptance that we finally have a president who will protect Americans, put America first in international negotiations, and rebuild inner urban cities!

Not to mention that Taymore falsely claimed to the Melrose Free Press that she had removed students' personal information violative of Federal FERPA laws, Massachusetts Privacy of School Records Laws: Their names, and outplacements and tuition costs, all still available on the IQM2 page on the school's website for all the snoopers to see. Would you want the whole city to know your child goes to a facility called Home for Little Wanderers or the Justice Resource Institute?

And where has Margaret and the School Committee been during these many months of open and egregious violations of State and Federal Laws?? Surely they were aware of the news article disclosing this serious violation. Did Margaret and her cabal ever care to even check to see that the violative information about our students is still up on there own website? Did our crack legal council and city solicitor ever follow up to ensure the information was in fact removed?? What is wrong with these idiots?? And why have they not fired the Superintendent and City solicitor for gross negligence and potentially exposing the city to multiple law suits? Who exactly is running the asylum??

Incremental...

Incremental improvement might be ok when you are running a manufacturing plant making widgets...the process is the process and the widget is the widget.

Incremental improvements cannot and should not be the acceptable standard when we are preparing our children to compete in a fast paced, ever changing global economy. Our children cannot afford incremental improvements to a broken education system. That's one.

Two, the pervasive RACIAL achievement gaps in the Boston Public Schools absolutely cannot wait for the School Committee to get its act together and finally hold the School Administration accountable for doing the job that they are all paid -well- to do. Otherwise, the members need to be replaced...remember the School Committee members get paid to hold the district accountable. We need stronger representation to support our children. We need people who are not satisfied with "incremental improvements". That standard is highly offensive.

Because this district and city are fully capable of tackling this issue of RACIAL achievement gaps and winning...yet both have failed to do so, this is quickly becoming a moral crisis. It is a failure of our children that we cannot continue to accept while some celebrate incremental change.

The Boston Public Schools must move from theory to practice. Now.
