Why is no one questioning why we are trusting an embezzler to tell us that the budget is as transparent as it needs to be?

Those who claim they're being transparent usually aren't. Two examples - the White House and the School Committee.

Who in Gods's name would approve a school budget that was incomplete? the Melrose School Committee. Great job, idiots! Time for a completely new school committee who are not in bed with the the party in power.

Who? The same nitwits that would approve a teacher's contract without ever having seen it.

Apparently they go by the playbook that a good defense is a strong offense. These people succeed at being offensive. They fail when it comes to what's legal, ethical and moral.
