Being too lazy to do "research", can anyone tell me if there's a downside to being in this Melrose Community Choice Power Supply Program? Should I just see what happens, or send back the opt out card the City sent?
Send it in, under your neighbor's name. Sheeeesh, do I have to do everything around here?
LOL! Geezer is this for real? Did you really get something like that?
I assumed that everyone in the City did.
Same here. Is this something to ignore?
Not sure MAG, which is why I asked here. It has always bothered me when I get something that says "you're in unless you opt out".
I got that too. I figured I'll be in... just cause I don't wanna be out.. I guess.
Wow! You can choose your own community now? And I was thinking I'd be stuck in this God-forsaken place forever.
There is a slight reduction in the bill; somewhere around $9/month on mine. There appears to be no downside to staying in since the program will likely be renegotiated next year and there will be another opportunity to opt-out.
Meanwhile, has anyone wondered how much extra we pay in our bills for the foolish waste of money that National Grid (for example) has to pay out for sending us our "energy scorecards" every month or so??????????????
That's a VERY important service! I've stopped watching tv and eat by candlelight so I can be #1 in the neighborhood!
