It’s interesting the water and sewer rates increases will be recommended on April 30, 2019. Four weeks after the special election. Apparently the city doesn’t want residents to be thinking about the increase water& sewer rates as they head into the special election on April 2. Wonder why??
I assume that's a "rhetorical wondering"!
Hey Geez, you were right in the other post. It's wasn't me.
Much of the talk in Melrose of late has centered on the upcoming tax override vote, with each side of the debate making their presence known and stating their respective cases to all who will listen.
Faced with a Recession, what part of "We Can't afford It" do they not understand ?Vote April 2 2019.
Nope, the timing of the BOA setting of W&S rates is controlled by them and is a direct political manipulation. They know there will be ____ to pay when the rates are revealed, and they don't want to do this before the override vote. It is cynical and it is what all but one BOA (MM) member is fine with. Calling it fakenews is just another way to try to discredit the truth.
Hopefully the majority of citizens will be able to see through the horrible tactics of the OneMelrose cabal.
To think that our government will look out for our common best interests. Government officials are only looking to line their pockets with beads traded to them for their compliance as they betray their neighbors and friends.
I think the poster is trying to say, the override vote was timed to come before the annual water rates meeting. You are less likely to vote to voluntarily raise your taxes when you have just had your water rates rise.
I speculate that the water rates will be affected by the override result. Let's see.
