should be no problem, sailing in the inland water is quite safe actually. I have an experience to sail a 52 footer with only a 10hp outboard crossing the north Pacific Ocean, and it was ok..
During this month I am repairing and preparing my boat for the camp, lots of things to fix...
By the way, where could i buy anti-foul paint cheap?
Regret that I have to postphone the camp due to an engine problem with my boat; the exhaust mixing muffler is leaking; I have to fix it before the boat could leave the moorage.
Guess that I need 1 more 2 week to repair the engine, keep you update.
Did you try the cold welding? The low pressure exhaust pipe can be fixed.
In cold welding, pressure is applied to the workpieces through dies or rolls. Because of the plastic deformation involved, it is necessary that at least one (but preferably both) of the mating parts be ductile. Prior to welding, the interface is degreased, wire-brushed, and wiped to remove oxide smudges. Cold welding can be used to join small workpieces made of soft, ductile metals.
I am not familiar with the metal works, but welding (both hot and cold) have been applied, and let see if the pipe is ok when i put it back to the engine.
Henry, when did you leave Sam Ah today? Are you ok while lifting the anchor?
I hoisted Full Sail once I reached the second beacon. After crossing the channel between Crescent Island and Wong Wan Chau, I was doing 5-7 knot and sail all the way back to HHYC by rounding Basalt Island in the South. (Not taking Sor See Mun as good breeze still maintaining)
It's about 2pm at Hebe and I decided to take a "quick shower" with boat then back home at 4pm.
Next time you could arrange some place around Sai Kung then you could sail much longer distance. :P
I leave at ~10am, and I got some gift when i lifted the anchor, it took me some time to receive the gift, and my family was enjoy that tonight, haha.
I also hoisted full sail after leaving the sam a chung entrance, speed was good before entering the Tolo Channel, afterthat I have to motor back to sam mun tsai.
next time you propose where to go la,cheers, and thanks for the wine.

Muskie:
No wonder we never got anchor drag. Thanks for giving us a safety nite.
As your mission is now completed, you could sacrifice yourself and fill up Henry's stomach.
Henry:
yes, and even there was some strong breeze, i woke up and checked there are no drag...
