Re: St John's Educators' Scholarship Fund presents...........

Thanks to the folks who run the St John's Educators' Scholarship Fund for reminding us that while Grenadians love to wine and jump-up, that's only one side of us.

On the afternoon of Sunday, December 8th, the literary talents of many Grenadians will be showcased. There will be Wendell DeRiggs who can spin anything peculiar to Grenada into the funniest and most hilarious stories you'll ever hear.
Then there is William Guillaume, from St. Andrews who took the well-known children's fable of the Big bad Wolf and the three Little Pigs and turned it on its head into a belly-full of laughable and comical but instructional court-room drama. If you love Sparrow's humorous but sobering "Dan is the Man," you will "squeal" with laughter at Guillaume's funny book!
You will re-live some of Grenada's scary mythology that grandma and grandpa used to tell us children. The only difference that Clyde "JuiceMan" Viechweg injects in those stories is the twists and turns that will surely leave your hairs on edge.
Nordica Francis, our own Gouyave woman, will be there to tell about her latest book directed specifically to young girls.
While some of you may not know her, Dr. Merle Collins will also be making a guest appearance.
And yes, I'll be there too to answer some of the questions, or expound on some of the characters that you read about in A PLACE CALLED GOUYAVE.

So for only $20.00, let's join this worthy cause to help budding talents in St. John, and show that we Grenadians will come out en masse even without expecting to wine and jump-up or "tearing down" oil-down and cookoo and callaloo.

You are invited!!!
