Political correctness : (Onlooker) applicability to the Gogouyave Forum

Onlooker - kindly be politically correct, I believe that you should use the word or term 'lanceperson' not 'lanceman'.

Please wake up from amidst the 'dead'!

Re: What's next for the President

onlooker
"What were they thinking"? That they are sick and tired of the man and his administration, the same way they are sick and tired of you and other know it all lanceman here on the talkshop.hint, reason the talkshop died.

If the Talkshop is dead and here you are posting, I envy you Onlooker. I wish I could talk to the dead !

Re: What's next for the President

Great observation, Onlooker. I too was looking at the amazing posts still praising this man! Many people, especially my folks, seem caught up in the historic achievement of the event that they refuse to accept that Barry is nothing but a fraudster. Nonetheless, he is not a failure! He is marching on transforming America as he repeated throughout his empty speeches. Leader? What leader? Champion of the middle class and the poor? What champion of the middle class and the poor? Politicians who want to champion the middle class and the poor would create an environment where government is as inconsequential in their lives as possible; of course, create a safety net for the most vulnerable but refrain from bribing and lying to the able bodied for political gains. And helping the poor? B Hussein O helping the poor? Are you people nuts? The guy has a brother who still lives in a hut in Kenya! Hussein O is a socialist masquerading as the leader of the free world. He can't openly proclaim his true intentions because he knows the American people won't go for them. He is a pathological liar, too. Without CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, MESSNBC, The New York Slimes, and WaPO, this guy's approval ratings would be hovering around 9%!

Re: What's next for the President

This is one of the many possible responses I thought I would have received concerning the topic. I never expected that we Black folks would have a monolithic opinion when it came to our impression of the POTUS. So thanks very much Spotter for expressing yours.

Actually I'm also developing a similar opinion like you about Obama. Never as extreme, but in some ways alike.
I can't understand why anyone would seek compromise with opponents who swear to "make you see your Waterloo" even before you officially took office. That's especially when it was not necessary since the Democratic party had a majority in both Houses during Mr. Obama's first two years in office. What outstanding leadership quality requires you to make peace with those who swear and declare in advance to make hell for you? That's what infuriates me about the Mr. Obama! That's not leadership, that's self delusion of gentlemanly fair play So in that sense I join you in criticizing the POTUS' leadership.
But I won't go that far to dismiss the POTUS as >>Hussein O is a socialist masquerading as the leader of the free world. He can't openly proclaim his true intentions because he knows the American people won't go for them. He is a pathological liar, too.<<

Give the man a fair shake, he isn't that bad, is he?

Moreover your denunciation of Obama seems to imply that the Republicans would be a better choice. Think about it. Would they, could they? Not when that party seems extremely comfortable in cuddling the crazies like John Beck, Rush Limbaugh and the many other openly racist nuts on the Right.

Yes, I'm very disappointed in the leadership of President Obama, and maybe the entire Democratic Party too, but please don't say or even imply that the alternative is the Republican Party!

Finally Spotter, thanks for teaching Onlooker to not make this discussion as he puts it "the same way they are sick and tired of you and other know it all lanceman here on the talkshop.hint, reason the talkshop died."
You forcefully expressed your opinions without any apologies to anyone. My respect, Sir. I thought that was the reason for the Talkshop. Maybe Onlooker will try to emulate you the next time he chooses to VISIT and HAVE AN ACTUAL CONVERSATION WITH the dead Talkshop.

Re: What's next for the President

Tony De,

I assume you mean Glenn Beck. Have you ever listen to Glenn or Rush? I know that Rachael Madcow, Ed Shoots, and Ali Sharpie are cooks because I watch them from time to time. I don't want someone else tell me about their crazy behavior, I want the experience myself as debates should be based on facts and not hear-say! Are you saying that Booker-T or Walter Williams or Milton Friedman - just to name a few stalwart conservatives - were nuts? The fact is Tony, I won't be surprised if you are actually a conservative! Black people are and have always been conservatives! I HAVE PROVEN TIME AND TIME AGAIN that when my people are asked individual questions without any political slant, they align themselves with conservatism every day. B Hussein O advocates collectivism and no where in history has a commune society ever worked - it FAILED every time. Only individual responsibility and hard work could lift people out of poverty. Make it a date and listen Rush for 1 hour and you'll be shocked to realize that many of your views align with his. I too once held a very negative view of the guy by taking for gospel what Wolfe had to say about him - don't do that.

Re: What's next for the President

The American society is in a state of flux. The old bastion of the so called " American People",aka white Mid-Western conservative, Southerners,Bible belters, Teabaggers, all trending Republican, and scared to death that they are losing "their America" to liberals, rappers, wishy washy Democrats, and worst of all their own offspring who grew up on a steady diet of Black music, Black sports and black fashion and Black infused media.
To add insult to injury, a black family moved into the White House.Did not matter that the President's mother was Caucasian, or that saint Obama and his family was as clean as any crowd who under that Actor Reagan was claiming to champion family values.Their response was to run to the nearest gun store and buy out every gun and bullet they can find. The Tea Baggers then hit the streets and unleashed a stream of vitriol, against the president not seen since the Grand wizard of the KKK had his stash of moonshine hijacked.
Back in Congress, Republicans came out of their politically correct closets and showed the world their true colors, while Democrats cowered in the proverbial chicken coop. When elections came in 2012, young folks black and white did what to them was the right thing and rebarakked America.
It therefore was no surprise that he had to resort to Presidential edicts to overcome the Republican blockade. Nor is it a surprise that the New Base did not show up for the ho hum midterm elections, which resulted in Republicans keeping the seats in congress warm, until the "Orinocco start running" (a Gouyave term) and swweep them all passed Kick M Jenny.
The tide is against those dinausaurs and after 8 yeats of Hilary Clinton, who would not have to go through what Obama did, regardless of whom is in Congress, those reactionaries will be assigned to the trash heap of history, never to be heard from again.Except in late nite movies starring John Wayne and Ronald Reagan. Oh I miss Rumpel and the Downstreet theatre.

Won't that be something if your prediction does come through? If I'm still around during that utopia, I may even vote for the Republican presidential candidate because I'll be living in an America where the dream of judging a man not by his color but by the content of his character is real and commonplace.

But should we hold our breath? Hmm, I dunno, but I hope so.
