What would you do?

>>To be, or not to be, — that is the question: — Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?<<

Just as young prince Hamlet was at his point of indecision in Shakespeare's famous play, so too is the Western world today in trying to solve the problem posed by Islamist radicals.

Left to former VP Dick Cheney and those with similar disposition, the United States with or without their other Western allies should launch a concerted attack on Isis, Al Qaeda etc. and by whatever means necessary once and for all get rid of the problem. As was displayed in Iraq, it matters little if thousands and thousands of innocent civilians are slaughtered in the process, to Cheney and his ilk that would be summarily dismissed as just the casualties of war since the ends more than justify the means.

On the other hand President Obama and others who argue that the problem isn't that simple, are left scratching their heads as they search for solutions to incidences like the public beheading of Westerners by Isis and today's horrific and heart rending attack in Paris.

So Western leaders today are no different than Hamlet was. President Obama and his allies have to be asking themselves the same question as Hamlet did, is it >>nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles?<<

Sooner or later each one of us will be at our own crossroad. The direction we take will be the guide folks will use to determine our greatness or our wishy-washiness.

Life certainly isn't as simple as it appears.
