Gouyave, a fishing town, where folks
are off the beaten Palmiste Lane track;
have been honoured for casting many a nets,
And selling their catch at the arranged bet!
But no one fret, at any perilous threats
For Saints Peter and Dominic are near!

Gouyave, a fishing town, where folks
Are betrothed to supping freshly made fish broth;
And this may bring some frothing wrath.
For the breezy, salinity infused Edward and Victoria Streets crowds!
Who are always keen for a ‘sharking’ row!

Gouyave, a fishing town, where sleep
Is deprived for the Lower and Upper Depradine Street crowds
Whilst half- awaken fishing folks tackle their dangling baits
After a ‘snapper-ing’ before sunrise debate
For Saints Peter and Dominic are near!

Gouyave, a fishing town, where on Fridays
Out of town folks come to stray
And party to the over-hauled sea raided delicacies
but its fish friday galore of fun, amidst no fear,
For Saints Peter and Dominic are near!
