Its amazing that sometimes, the magnolia coloured sand gets all the attention and basking in the limelight, but its nice to remember all the bays and beaches! So, this underpin the writing of the poem or ode to Black bay.
Black bay, a volcanic haven! (Draft)
Black bay, your volcanic sand
resembles the darkness of a moonless night,
your semi-circular bay, seemed sunshine betray’d,
and chilly folks cut short your eerie stay,
Even during the month of May.
Black bay, your volcanic haven,
where playing boys seek not their lost marbles,
Whilst egg-laying, local and visiting turtles stay at bay
And breeding is in full sway
Even during the month of May.
Black bay, where turtles too
feel betray’d by folks who won’t go away,
leaving turtles in total disarray
With thoughts of going far away
from Black bay, their home from the Ancient of days.
Even during the month of May.
