Marie Laveau : Voodoo Queen of New Orleans, Louisiana
On June 15, 1881, a voodoo Queen named Marie Catherine LAVEAU died in New Orleans, Louisiana. Marie was widely known as a practitioner of voodoo rites, her husband originated from Haiti, she was buried in Glapton family crypt,at St Louis Cemetery, No.1.
Would be interesting to know if any post-readers living in New Orleans, have visited the crypt?
Also, I may now have to make a journey to Italy, to see the tomb of the Queen of Haiti who on 15 March 1851 was buried in Pisa, Italy ... so much to do during our few days on this earth - you can get bored!
