I would think everyone would be v. excited about Empire coming out soonest! I know I am! Much to my surprise, not a peep from you all... Wow!
So... Any miniseries watching parties being dreamt up? Enquiring minds wanna know. I may be corrupting a few friends to see if we can have our own version of a toga party to watch this, at least for either the first or last segment.

I'm psyched, tho I'm peeved that they're going to be stringing this out into a month-long thing! WTF? I'm going to be missing the last two episodes because I'll be in Finland on vacation, but I've told Mom that if she doesn't record it for me, I'll throw her off the Tarpeian Rock! (Roman history joke.)
As I told Nat in an email, it sounds like the historical events in the miniseries follow the last third of Colleen McCullough's novel, The October Horse. Wish they hadn't put in this Tyrannus character to "protect" Octavian. They could have done well by giving Agrippa that job and not have to go through the trouble of inventing a character. Pah! Anyway, looking forward to it all the same. The sets, from what I saw in the tv promo, look pretty swell.
I haven't been able to be psyched about much else. My back won't let me. I can't jump around, bend, twist, lift, or sit for long. It sucks. So lately I've preoccupied myself with my Troy fanfic.
