I am a documentary filmmaker based in Tokyo, with a long-term (35-year) interest in Okinawa. I am making a new film about the US bases in Okinawa and I would like to speak with you about your experiences there. I saw your blog... I just wanted to take the moment to say hello. Also, to thank you. Not enough people appreciate what the Marine or Soldiers do for our Constitutional rights... Freedom... comes at a cost. Unfortunately, not many people know that value of it. I thank you.  |

From one service member to another.....Just a question to you or any female Marine, Im in the Seabees and I have trouble keeping my kevlar helmet from sliding forward with the bun, it makes it very difficult to wear properly and stay in hair regs all at the same time. Have you experienced this and if so what solution have you come up with? |

Hi there, I'm going to email you separately, but I'm not sure I have a functioning email (afemalemarine@hotmail.com) so I wanted to message you here also. I'm a Ph.D. student at the University of Maryland in College Park and I'm writing my dissertation on Hispanics in the Marine Corps.
