I have a 6hp 4-stroke long (20") shaft. I would'nt want to go any smaller than the 6hp or any shorter than the 20" shaft. You can get a great deal on a nissan from www.porta-bote.com. Believe me, a 4-stroke is much easier to live with in the cockpit. (less noise and smoke)
