Re: good as a live aboard boat???

All depends on your tolerance. The c-26 mkII is the biggest 26' sailboat I've ever been in. The very high freeboard gives a lot of volume.

P.S If you are ever in or around Lake Tahoe, I'll give you the grand tour. Tim

Not much head room but otherwise roomy. If your are in Vancouver Canada send me an e-mail and I will show you.

Re: Re: Re: good as a live aboard boat???

I lived aboard my Columbia 26 MKII for over ten years from 1983 to 1994 and found her the perfect bachelor pad. I sailed her up and down the California coast from Ventura to San Diego numerous times, practically commuted to Catalina Island staying sometimes a week at a time, fishing , snorkeling, hiking, and weekend dancing with all you lovely ladies. In 1993 I solo sailed her down the Baja coast and spent a year cruising Mexico on $416 a month, including much Pacifico and great food. I could do it because of the simplicity of the vessel, and that she never saw the inside of a marina, she and I lived on the hook. I made many modifications, some of which are listed in Sail Net. These days I live more comfortable aboard a Ranger 29, much more complicated with diesel engine and bigger rigging. It is for sale because I intend to buy another Columbia MkII and hopefull return to Mexico. George

George,

I hate to be a dumb bunny, but what is "Sail Net" that is referenced in your posting? Thanks.
