It seems my wire/rope halyard "sawed" a grove in a spreader. Does anyone have a source for a new spreader? What would you think of replacing both with sections of stainless steel pipe?

Has anyone solved the problem with the halyards catching themselves on the steaming light? I expect to just run the down end of the halyards through a loop off the flag penant halyard (double duty to keep them from banging at dock) or a pad eye adjacent to the steaming light unless someone has a beter idea.
