If Dolan supports a casino in Everett, he is supporting traffic nightmares, increases in domestic violence incidents, gambling addictions, drug dealing, prostitution, sex trafficking and mafia connections. This robo call is more proof that he is out of control.

Mass is too late to be successful in the casino business. You only need to look at Atlantic City and the closing of most of the large casinos and the numerous number of them multiplying all over surrounding states to know that Mass is getting into this business much too late to be successful!
When you think that these casinos have to set aside millions of dollars to address gambling addictions, expected crime increase in adjacent towns, and extra police needed, any reasonable person would say keep it them out of our state! Let our gamblers and criminals travel to adjacent states "to do their thing"!

Slot machines in most casinos pay back just over 90% of what they take in, leaving a profit of just under 10%. Table games also have win percentages of around 10%. Wynn Resorts records 10.70% profit margin while MGM Resorts International records -9.50% profit margin this June. Simply put, if you wager a dollar, the BEST you're going to do is get back 90 cents.
I have no problem with a $20.00 Nassau on the golf course, or paying an entry fee for a tournament because I have some measure of "control" over whether I win or lose. If I play well, I win. Not so in a casino, or any other game of "chance", because you really have no chance at all, when you have to win 10% just to break even.

Need to do your research "Too late in the game". CT casinos were part of a big globe investigative piece last year. They are bleeding in red ink. Like it or not a Boston casino will keep MA,NH gamblers in MA and draw gamblers from New England to the City of Boston.

This conservative admires Dolan for putting his name on what may be considered by some to be a controversial issue. It would be easy for him to sit on the sidelines for this one, but he wasn't afraid to support bringing Casinos to MA. That is why I like this guy. I always vote for the "R" except when it comes to the Mayor of this great city. He is one Democrat that I can get behind.
Only on the Whiner Board would the haters object to a politician taking an opinion on an issue...that ultimately the large majority of Massachusetts voters and almost every Everett voter agreed with him on.
