It will be interesting to watch which BOA members ask questions, fulfill roles as fiscal watchdogs and declare with reason and rationale why they will support upcoming bonds and the override question. All candidates need to declare themselves and earn votes (or not) through policy, ideas and putting themselves on the line.
Split is as predictable as a public school slam on MM. Bird, Conn & Mederios will be negative on override need and improvements to public school infrastructure. They will vote for school project after public posturing. Boiselle will waffle but vote for it as well. Bird and Mederios will vote against override ballot question. Conn will vote to put it on ballot. Rest will be in favor of override on the ballot and capital improvements to public schools. The wishes of the MM Whiner crowd lie with Mederios and Bird...At large Alderman that garner the small percentage of negative people city wide to carry them to victory. Unelectable in a Ward race. Parents would throw them out for negative approach to schools. Its why Mederios ran from ward race, but had high vote count citywide. She's the John Dunne of the new era, nothing to be proud of.
What do you mean? Some has to keep the clowns in check.
Yes, just the vuvu types (MBMM, PM, RD, KT, MD, CC) being the vicious jacka$$es they are. Medeiros has wide community and in fact regional support, and for strong reasons.
She ran at large because 3 people with school age children in her neighborhood pulled papers to get rid of her...that's a fact. No way to spin it.
"Ask her" is just another (or the same) vicious jacka$$.
Jennifer Lemmerman who won the seat does not have any children.
So wouldn't that mean she is representing all the people in Melrose who have no children but pay taxes into the school system?
