Dysfunction in Action,
starting with MD's bloviation, CT's hostile non-answers, MBMM inanities, PM's laughable officiousness, JP's total incompetence, PdR slimy nonanswers....

What a Jerk

Re: June 22 BOA Meeting, Approval of School Budget, Dysfunction Exemplified

If anyone votes for this "pot of cash" request for an override, you need your head examined! Noticed that most of the aldermen would like more time to inquire and investigate the justification for the override but felt it should be sent to the residents for a final determination. We call that in politics - "kicking the can down the road" or "shirking responsibility". We voted for this group to represent us, you know - "representative government" - the kind of government we have - but instead when tough decisions come along, give it to others to decide. Even the so called conservative on the Board Don Conn, who supposedly watches the public purse strings, folded. Pity - just a pity!

Myron, go back to sleep. Better yet take the dirt nap.[:))]

Thanks, Nodoze, for your lucid comment, and trying to lull the public to sleep! But it won't work - the gig is up!

The residents of Melrose are awake and eager to vote this charade down! Watch in the coming months when Superintendent Taymore and her senior staff get their big pay raises, more money grants given by the city to the Melrose Education Foundation are handed out, another big raise for teachers in their union contract being negotiated, and student outcomes remain stagnant - it will finally dawn on residents that this city and school administration is taking the city on a "cash for all" ride.
