Sound Familiar ?

In today's Boston Globe, author Anne Bernays described different characters who cause her to avoid meetings if possible including:
The Motormouth - "This person eagerly anticipates the once-a-month meeting as an opportunity to exercise his or her language and. tongue muscles. Unless stopped at the pass, motormouths will talk and talk, even when barely brushing the subject at hand. They will be tolerated until they wear themselves and their listeners out."

Re: Sound Familiar ?

The unappreciative world we live in today worries me. I have three small children and it has changed.

Re: Sound Familiar ?

Sounds like public participaton at a Melrose School Committee meeting.

Re: Sound Familiar ?

Sounds like a bunch of the real Melrose "haters"--the ones who would rather the issues continue to be buried as deep into the sand as the fake local Dems can manage it. Sure, obliquely (look it up) smear the very few individuals who have consistently had (and have) the courage to stand up to the Melrose NoOne Cabal, and most particularly the one who always has the facts and data to prove what he states publicly. Ironically this string was started by an arch right-wing bigot and misogynist who has a long history of publishing locally but here maintains his anonymity while he pi$$es on Melrose's favorite punching bag, a man who has done more singlehandedly to elevate the real issues and who is also a kind-hearted, generous gentleman (yet targeted and victimized by the frothing local ignorant nouveau bra-burners). This is an interesting conjoining of the vilest of the right and fake left, which kind of defines what is ruling Melrose these days. Neither respects true democratic values, starting with the First Amendment.
