How dare JLB or GI or the "Deputy Mayor" (Van Campen) tell residents, as is reported, that they are not to contact their elected representatives on the Board of Aldermen! This, more than anything, speaks volumes about the obstructionist, self-serving administration.
Apparently not only is this administration (Dolan's puppet administration, even in absentia) doing dirt to the residents in their incompetent and illegal mismanagement of the sewer crisis (not only on Brazil St., but now we find out a similar horror show occurred in June of 2018 on Waverly Place), but they have the gall to tell residents not to contact MacMaster or Medeiros and only go through the mayor's office.
First, this is wrong on every count. Second, this is disqualifying for JLB's candidacy. She has proven her status as a turncoat shill, caring only about protecting the city administration instead of the residents who have been grievously harmed. Such unmitigated gall. Anyone who's been paying attention (discounting that huge body of OneMelrose idiots) knows that GI, RVC, JS, and the whole Main Street gang are a bunch of malicious, self-serving fools. This DPW catastrophe proves it in so many ways. But now voters can see first-hand exactly who the rest of them really are, also. Shame on JLB! Let's just hope that whatever indemnification current officials have, that there is a loophole that makes them continue to have some personal liability, even if they ditch to Lynnfield, and that there are some very smart attorneys fighting for the citizens of Melrose against these craven officials.
If you want to know what's going on, show up Thursday night for BOA mtg. News came directly from one of the horse's mouths in the presence of Fox News reporter.
Watching the replay of the meeting about Brazil Street. Heard Bob Cargill relate the woes he's had with sewage after "a company from Everett" did work in front of his house. That company was possibly GTA. The owner of GTA is buddies with Dolan. They were doing a water or sewer job on Union Street years ago and almost drowned one of their workers when they undermined a hydrant which let go and filled the hole with water. That's the kind of thing that happens when you hire a landscaping company owned by a friend of the Mayor to do sewage work just because their bid was lowest, and they did a LOT of work around town during those years.
The money will come from the city insurance company or the water and sewer enterprise fund.
The one we all pay for!
