I don't doubt that she's trustworthy. I think (and of course it's simply my opinion) what's bothering many Democrats, like myself, who'd like to vote her, is the extent of her "allegiance" to an obviously out of control national Republican party. It would be nice to hear, from her, exactly what she supports and what she doesn't.

According to the "logic" of your quote. People should find someone to write in as a candidate rather than vote for Paul OR Monica. Monica is running too, so she obviously "wishes for power".

Monica nakedly has been clear that she wants power. First she was on the School Committee, then she ran as Ward 2 Alderman, then, that wasn't enough so she ran At-Large, then she unsuccessfully tried to become State Senator, and now she is running to be mayor, the chief executive of the entire city. For most of that time she was on the board of the Mass Municipal Association and is now it's President, and is on the Governor's Advisory Council. What about that resume seems like someone who has shied away from "power" to you?
