ALCOHOL GOLF
All meetings be open to all.Public meetings are held to engage a wide audience in information sharing and discussion ... Public meetings are familiar, established ways for people come together to express their opinions, hear a public speaker or proposed plan, engage in shared learning about a topic, or work together to develop solutions.ALCOHOL ON THE GOLF COURSE???????
Open meeting law only requires 48 hour notice about a public meeting held by a city commission or Board - and you have to go to the city website to find this out - I personally don't consider this much notification unless you visit the city website nearly every day.

Also, meetings are now held on Zoom....just try negotiating the city internet system to participate in these zoom meetings - even city officials have trouble with their systems...and they breakdown from time to time. They should go back to having open on-site meetings where the public can show up in great numbers....not to do so...is an injustice to free speech and bureaucratic control of the populace.

Re: for real

Hey Stupid, this is - in fact - the Mayor Paul Brodeur. This thread has generated a lot of great conversation and collaboration between our citizens and government during a truly trying time. I would live to hear your questions about what the City can do to better support you!

- Mayor

All of us experience change in our lives. Change is the one constant in our lives. There are changes that we look forward to and change that we fear. However, one thing is for sure. Things will not stay the same no matter how much we would like them to. When a life change occurs, we have two choices in how to respond. We can despair that a change has come and assume that things will be worse, or we can look with excitement at the new possibilities for personal growth and change in self that the change presents.

Re: Ask the Mayor!

I have NO IDEA why, but for some reason I am reminded of a quote that I try to live by, from Mark Twain:
"Never argue with stupid people. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."

Re: Ask the Mayor!

Looks like former Aldergoon & pathetically sad mayoral candidate Zwirko sold his house. Anyone know if he is staying in Melrose or leaving town with his tail between his legs?

Hopefully he is onto greener pastures and a new set of wives to try and pry from their husbands (with sorry selfies in the buff) in whatever sorry community gets him. The husbands of Melrose will be able to breathe easier.

Why the lack of transparency?

Fellow Citizens, Ask me any question...we have a lot of time alone so I want to keep the lines of communication open with the People. I know this is a great source of information for many of Melrose, so ask and you shall be answered! - Mayor. It has stop.??????
