Did you see the school committee meeting on Tuesday, August 18th when members presented their evaluation of Ms, Taymore? As usual, most members gave a "thumbs up” to Taymore with little documentation to support their results. We see this event play out several times each year with this committee when most members “rubber stamp” their approval of her while our school district sinks further behind and student outcomes continue to show little or no progress in most areas and with law suits against the schools increasing year by year.

The surreal nature of these committee evaluations takes on significance when you measure them against that of school committee woman, Carrie Kourkoumelis’ evaluation. Out of 13 categories of measurements, Ms. Kourkoumelis recently rated Taymore 9 Unsatisfactory and 4 Needs Improvement. What makes her evaluation compelling are the 20 pages of factual evidence she presents to support her poor evaluation of Taymore. What we are seeing here is a blatant lack of transparency and truthfulness by other committee members and this does not bode well for our students, parents, and the taxpayers of Melrose.

When will parents and the general public regain consciousness - see what is blatantly obvious - and demand a change in leadership both in the schools as well as on the school committee?

Couldn't have stated it better. Stepford members except CKK. Thank God for her resilience and honesty especially in light of dealing with these bullies.

How can the rest of the SC members show up with no details or documentation to support their glowing evals of CT? How do they do that without feeling completely inept next to Mrs. K? She comes with thoughtful reviews, and they come with nothing. Even if you agree with their evaluations, wouldn't you like them to explain their "thinking"?
