WEEKLY NEWS OPPOSES OVERRIDE

The Melrose Weekly News, with the largest circulation in Melrose, today announced its opposition to the override stating, "We have never felt comfortable with overrides use to run government."

Weekly says overrides should not be used to run governments and pay for more city employees. CORRECT

Also in the WEEKLY Alderman answer questions.

JD LaROCK: "Simply spending more money doesn't automatically produce results." CORRECT.

JD LaROCK "The School system doesn't have a deficit in any real sense of the word. Talking about the "structural deficit" is a way for city leaders to raise general revenue under the guise of increasing funding for education. Frankly I find this deceptive." CORRECT

JD LaROCK "You're (Melrose citizens) are being charged for water that you never used." CORRECT

MBMM: "We should move the dates we set the water rates to avoid the fiscal year crossover, eliminating the proration issue which is unfair to everyone." MBMM didn't you VOTE FOR THIS POLICY?

LaROCK, MEDERIROS, CONN all voting no on the override. A NO BRAINER who we should vote for.

So now some on BOA want to change billing system so it is fair????? They voted on this and now that it is election time they consider it unfair REALLY!!!!
