DESE to conduct audit of MPS Civil Rights, SPED programs

http://melrose.wickedlocal.com/news/20161111/dese-to-conduct-coordinated-program-review-at-melrose-schools

The Melrose schools mis-administrative team brought this one on themselves. CR violations against minorities and SPED students are well-known state-wide. With a Republican administration in place on Beacon Hill, they won't be able to have it all glossed over anymore. CT,PWL, school committee members and RVC are going to get smoked for their past misdeeds and head-in-sand attitudes since 2012.

Parents who would like to be interviewed by the DESE review team about the horrific treatment of SPED students and their parents at the hands of these monsters can call DESE at 781-338-3744 on or before November 28 and leave their name and phone number to arrange for an interview by the DESE audit team (have your evidence and docs ready).

You can also call the superintendent's office to arrange for an interview with DESE, but that would be foolish because your phone call and message would mysteriously get misplaced, just like Taymore's phone log went missing when requested through formal public records request by former SC member Carrie Kourkoumelis.

Folks, this is an opportunity to finally stick it to these bullies and possibly start fresh with a new administrative team who will take action instead of bullying those who want to improve our schools.

The real question.Whats going on at the schools?

Re: DESE to conduct audit of MPS Civil Rights, SPED programs

Under PWL and Joe the district failed this Coordinated Program Review miserably with many pages of civil rights violations. No one cared then and probably few now. It would be great if finally, the parents of the many special needs children who have been neglected and abused in the district stepped up and said it, Loud and Clear. MPS has violated many laws and egregiously so. Way past due for a reckoning.

PWL and CT have only made things many times worse, purposely refusing to answer calls/emails and just letting as much slide as possible so that more and more parents will just give up seeking help for their children. Only the mightiest of parents manage to get their children through this awful system with what they are owed by law and moral code.

Oops, they did it again

Well, if David Driscoll is still a part of DESE, than what's the point. He's related to MSC Chair Margaret Driscoll. He is also the one behind getting Taymore that bogus Superintendent's award two months after CT/MPS was found guilty on four counts by the Office of Civil Rights (Plantation; Slave and Master; deliberate inept investigation; open meeting law violation). Even if he's gone DD still has ties with DESE. Don't forget Joe Casey worked for DESE as well.

Re: DESE to conduct audit of MPS Civil Rights, SPED programs

Margaret Driscoll's husband's uncle is David Driscoll, former Mass Commissioner of Ed from Melrose. She has been using those connections for a long time. She rules with the feeling of power and impunity from the DESE because of this.

David Driscoll was a well liked guy & this wench benefits from accrued loyalty to him.

If you truly want to move forward with a compliant, it needs to be federal. This is why those other violations were found by the federal government.

What a joke. They choose who DESE can speak to.
