Re: Instructive and Provocative Attrition Rates for Melrose Public Schools
Massive amount of private schools.. Cross check the numbers tat leave with private institutions enrollment of Melrose students. Not saying it is there but that could be the reason. Where I am from theer are almost no private schools, around here there seem to be an abundance.
Re: Instructive and Provocative Attrition Rates for Melrose Public Schools
Stevie what I am getting at is how many of the children leaving are going to private establishments and if we take the number os students who left the Melrose public schools for private what would it be.. Pretty straight forward. Kids are leaving for Private Schools do some research. One of the main reasons is safety but since melrose would rather spend money aimlessly instead of one things like the Police department then I guess we have no solution. Anymore questions Stevie?
If we are paying these teachers say 70k for a round number and 84% of their insurance and our kids are still leaving then why would you ever consider a yes vote for the override? Money is obviously not the answer to the problem!

When you believe in things that you don’t understand, then you suffer; superstition ain’t the way.
Re: Instructive and Provocative Attrition Rates for Melrose Public Schools
This override is being pushed by the Melrose Teacher’s association and city hall. It appears they are openly campaigning for the override. No surprise there as they stand to get a 6% raise. It’s fine to campaign on your personal time but when you are a public employee to openly campaign using city resources may violate state ethic laws. The mayor and Most of the BOA also appear to be using city resources to openly campaign for the override.
