Question

Not sure where this came from, but does anyone else remember going to Buttricks for ice cream?

Re: Question

Yes! Buttrick's had wonderful, rich ice cream with awesome flavors. Haven't thought of it decades, but the memory is there.

There was one on Route 2A in Concord or Lincoln we went to frequently. It was there until the National Park Service made it close and tore it down, as I recall. I think there was one in Arlington or Medford we went to a couple times.

Re: Question

Interesting! To be honest, I had no idea there was more than one. The one I was taken to was indeed in Medford (I believe anyway, it was a long time ago and I could be wrong), I think on Elm Street, near its intersection with Woodland Road (where that small rotary is, past the skating rink).

I did recall why I thought of it though. I walked by an area in the Wyoming Cemetery where there are 4 or 5 Buttrick stones. I wonder if it's the same 'Buttrick'.
