We met a couple weeks ago at the farmers market in Salinas, my family & I were doing a fundraiser for Relay for Life in honor of my 3 yo daughter Lyla who was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2009 and has been in remission for 16 months. I just visited your site & just wanted to say how touching it was to read about what your family went through. It is very nice to see and read other cancer families stories and most importantly it's great to know that Kyle is doing good :) I cant help but think of the day when I get to say "This is my 13 yo daughter Lyla & she HAD cancer" You are truely and inspiring family and Im glad I got to meet you that day. We are also very greatful for your generous donation to 'Team Lyla' . Relay for Life will be June 11th, 2011 at the Salinas Sports Complex at 10am, hope you can make it, we would love to see you guys again :)

You are my brave hero! When I met you last night at the wharf in Monterey I thought you were a great kid. You were doing such a good job watching over your little brothers while you dad and grandfather was icing fish and loading the truck. It reminded me of my sons when they were little.
You told me you had been sick and showed me your scares. I read your webpage and cried. I am so sorry for what you and your family have gone through. But so HAPPY you are all well and doing great! You are so brave. You are one amazing young man. God is GOOD!
I hope I see you again soon, it will make my day.

Hi Kyle & Family,

I met Jerry tonight 1/8/09 - he came by our restaurant CB Hannegan's in Los Gatos. We got to talking and he told me about his family. Kyle you are amazing. I LOVE YOUR COURAGE!!!!! along with all of your family, I am a cancer survivor (Stage IV Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma - 2001 and in remission) and I know that it is not easy - for being so young and going through more than most. In the short time I talked with you dad I was in ahh about how he talked about his family with admiration .
