They were (it seemed to me) always on TV variety shows in the 50’s to 70’s, identically dressed, never changing style, singing show tunes and standards in a permanently smiling close harmony. Teddie was the last surviving one. So farewell to a surreal part of my youth!

Here\'s another one that I think missed mention here. California Bay Area bassist STEVE EVANS died April 5, 2025. I don\'t know when he was born. He played with guitarist Chris Cain for around 20 years. Also played with others, including slide guitarist Roy Rogers, and he played with ace New England guitarist Albert Cummings at the Las Vegas Blues Bender in 2023. RIP.

DEE PALMER (b. David Palmer July 2nd 1937, d. June 11th 2026). British composer and keyboard player who was a member of JETHRO TULL during their most successful touring period in the mid-late 1970’s. Having lived with gender dysphoria, David transitioned in the 1990’s following the death of his wife.

He worked with numerous important jazz musicians like ORNETTE COLEMAN, ART BLAKEY, JOE HENDERSON, PAUL BLEY, PHAROA SANDERS, SAM RIVERS and others.

Back to 2025... PETER HODGE, vocalist, guitarist and mandolin player for the great British folk rock group DULCIMER, died in early December 2025. They recorded their only album \"AND I TURNED AS I HAD TURNED AS A BOY\" on NEPHENTA/GLOBAL label in 1971, wonderful.

JEFF BATTER, keyboardist in a later version of the American symphonic progressive rock band JASPER WRATH, died 06. of February 2026. They recorded a fine self-titled album with wonderful fantasy cover art on SUNFLOWER RECORDS in 1971, worth listening.
