Grenada-born, Trinidadian-raised musician and Calypso singer (The) Mighty Sparrow (* July 9, 1935) passed September 27, 2026 at 91. From 1957 on he released dozens of songs, but became most notably known for Only A Fool, together with Byron Lee & The Dragonaires. Song was originally released in 1969 and became a minor TOP40 chart song (#31) in The Netherlands. A re-release however peaked at #2 in 1978.

Paul Phillip Woods A.K.A. Pye Dubois who was the lyricist for Toronto band Max Webster passed away on Sept. 15 @ 77.
After the band dissolved he continued writing for many Kim Mitchell recordings. He also wrote lyrics for Rush namely \'Tom Sawyer\' and many others.
