Passed away 6th December 2025 aged 73 following a stroke.
Australian drummer with Australian band Finch from 1972 to 1978. Their biggest hit was Where Were You in 1978.
Then in late 1978 Peter went on to join The Swannee Band with Jimmy Barnes\' older bother John Swan ( Swanee ) on vocals.

Rory MacLeod, bassist for the American blues and swing revival big band ROOMFUL OF BLUES from 1985 to 1987, died 06. of December 2025 in a traffic accident.

Tim Williams, a revered folk and Blues master guitarist and storyteller from Calgary passed away Nov. 28th @ 77.

JOHN ROBERTS...(1944 - February 3, 2025)...with great sorrow, i announce the belated death of English / American folk singer half of the unique duo JOHN ROBERTS & TONY BARRAND. a fave, in my heart of hearts. not sure how this February passing slipped by us. the duo recorded extensively with Swallowtail, Front Hall, Folk-Legacy, Golden Hind. plus he was part of the Yuletide ensemble NOWELL SING WE CLEAR. in the early 70s they were always on PBS. and would overjoy audiences twofold.

Sandro Giacobbe, an Italian singer-songwriter, died on 5 December 2025.

HERMAN DEINUM, bass player for the legendary Dutch blues rock band CUBY AND THE BLIZZARDS, died 05. of December 2025.

The great Japanese bass player TETSU YAMAUCHI died 05. of December 2025 (death announced on this date). He replaced RONNIE LANE (FACES) and ANDY FRASER (FREE), was a part of the fine project KOSSOFF, KIRKE, TETSU & RABBIT, and was a member of the progressive rock band SAMURAI (not the UK band!).

Edward Joseph Egan, an Australian folk singer and public servant, died on 4 December 2025.
Egan began recording in 1969 with \"Drinkers of the Northern Territory\" and released 30 albums.

Born 21st October 1941 - Passed away 3rd December 2025, aged 84.
American guitarist and a member of Booker T and The M. G. \'s, still to the present day. And he was a member of The Blues Brother\'s Band in the movie.
The M. G. \'s are the Stack Records studio band. They had hits in their own right with Time Is Tight, Green Onions and Soul Limbo and Steve and the rest of the band wrote the three hits.
Steve also co-wrote co-wrote \"Knock On Wood\" with Eddie Floyd, \"In The Midnight Hour\" with Wilson Pickett and \"(Sittin\' On) The Dock of the Bay\" with Otis Redding.
Steve played lead guitar on many hit albums including by Otis Redding, Sam and Dave, Rod Stewart, Albert King, Ringo Starr, Art Garfunkel, Brian Cadd, John Lennon, Neil Sedaka, Dolly Parton, Roy Orbison ( Mystery Girl ), Paul Simon, Jimmy Buffett and many more.

ANDREW LAUDER (b. Andrew Justus Lauder May 22nd 1947, d. November 26th 2025). Legendary British A&R man, with Liberty and UA records in the 60’s and 70’s. A risk-taker who trusted his own instincts, he signed or licensed an amazing variety of bands. The Stranglers, Can, Brinsley Schwartz, Hawkwind, The Bonzo Dog Band, Flamin’ Groovies, Man and Captain Beefheart among many. A nice bloke, too.

William Lee “Billy” Nichols, an American guitarist and soul songwriter from Carrollton, Mississippi, died on 02 Dec 2025.

Grammy award winning bassist Miller \"Speedy\" Sparks who during his lengthy career would play with The Texas Tornadoes, Joe \"King\" Carrasco, Freddie Fender and just anything Doug Sahm did passed away Oct. 7 @ 79.

LESLIE FILK (d.29th November 2025 aged 72) US singer songwriter and political activist, best known for her 1977 FILK (sci-fi folk…) album Solar Sailors, which had her jaunty Star Trek themed ‘Banned from Argo’ on it.
