My name is Tommy "Joe" Rimes, age 50. My Dad's name was Joe "Caroll" Rimes, and Uncle was Tommy "Lee" Rimes. Both have passed on now watching down on all of us.
I believe my dad had a sister named Ruth, if I remember the story right. I know my Dad Joe, was closelydirectly related to Billy Rimes whom lived/lives in California.

Is there a way that ANYONE can tell me anything for sure about this picture of him. The date on the pictures shows about 1956, he would have been 23 yo. He was born in 1933. The gentleman in the pic looks to be that age. Please help me find out for sure. We lost him this past Jan, he went to be with the Lord. This would be a great find for me and my mom! MALAKIAH RIMES and ABBIE COCHRAN..... Abbie Cochran's full name is Martha Mary Abbie Gail Cochran.... based on my mothers entry in her Bible that gives her name and date of birth.


In part of your document you state that one lady that married a Rimes was a good dancer and some thought she was indian... My aunt claims that one of our relitives was in fact an indian and that is where we get our dark complection along with some indian features. My aunt says we are Cherokee however if you put a picture of my mother beside a Simonole indian lady you can see a very marked resembalance.

I was speaking to my aunt Sadie today and mentioned that I was in the process of tracking down my family on my fathers side (Gulledge) and told her that I wanted to also look into my mothers side of the family when I had time. She said she would and that she would also contact Ruth (her sister)... long story short I found this web site and it appears that all the information is there.

You list Viola Rimes we called her husband Uncle Posie although he was my great uncle. I have pictures of my grandfather and great grand father along with my great grand fathers wife.
