Re: The Bull is on his way to the Abattoir.

Paisano Downstreet,

Your post brings back to memory our brief experience in the French Quarters back in the sixties with "The Running of(from, in our case )The Bull. I recalled one had excaped from the slaughtering hands of Mr. Lio, or it could have been Mr.Cave or probably Buddeh from the Market or Ole Stall Abattois.

Immagine if you will, the scene over Ponce De L'anse when word had preceded the pending arrival of that bull and upon seeing it crossing over, the pandemonium among the people. In retrospect, who knows! it could have been one of yours "Southern Strategy" which could have included more diabolic acts against us again. ....Lol

But to correlate this with this specie we have up here, the only similarity would be to run like hell away from it. And despite facing those European Bull Handlers like Angela and Theresa, that Bull continues to see red in a Pasture of Chinese green grass..... blame it on the fertlilzer if you must. In our case, the line you see at the Abattois are those who choose to await his arrival, hoping to get their choice cuts of meat. Others are there to smell....ah mean hear!....the sound of the odiferous flatulence; the Methane that usually precedes the  bull's fermented diet coming from "its business end" just before the coup de gra'ce. To them, it makes no difference as it is all regarded as "green", the preferred color of the day, despite its Russian origin.

So yestetday, we saw the coming together for the first time,The Matadors at the House. They had cornered the Bull and had it in a position where it can choose to gore or defecate on the Floor. It did the latter, then retreated, reminding everyone that it was lacking the biological attributes for sustained virility  and may indeed be just a Heifer.

In other words, the "Trump card" he was holding turned put to be just a "spayed" and his performance in the House yesterday had to be spaded, leaving the stench behind.

VJL, on "the mooing Cow".
