Adelaide Decoteaux – another enterprising woman

Adelaide Decoteaux – another enterprising free black Grenadian woman connected to Clozier Decoteaux and other members of the Clozier family. She was a community leader in the parish of St Patrick's and was much respected. Her branch of the Decoteaux family eventually extended to the island of Carriacou and Petite Martinique. Much more is to be said of the enterprising woman.

As you can see from the will, Clozier D'Arceuil and Richard Alexander were witnesses to her will. Both as we know, we hung by the British in 1796.
